The Center for Judaic-Christian Studies

The Center for Judaic-Christian Studies is a research and development organization headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, with extensive work in Israel. Focusing on studies of the Jewish backgrounds of Christian faith, the Center promotes various books and other educational materials which document Christianity's Jewish roots.

The Center for Judaic-Christian Studies has co-published (with Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing Company) Our Father Abraham - Jewish Roots of the Christian Faith by Dr. Marvin Wilson, one of the most significant books in the field of research and promotion of the Christian heritage in Judaism.It has also co-published the popular Understanding the Difficult Words of Jesus by David Biven and Roy Blizzard, Jr. The Center also produces numerous audio and video presentations of important themes and aspects of research on the Jewish background of Christianity.

The president of the Center for Judaic-Christian Studies, Dwight Pryor, has an extensive background in philosophy and Hebrew language and culture. Along with his deep spirituality and commitment to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, this has made him one of the foremost spokespersons for the emerging movement promoting Christianity's Judaic heritage, a role which has taken him throughout the world. He and his staff remain on the cutting edge of research into the Hebrew foundations of Christian faith and their practical applications for Christian maturity.

The Center is also actively involved in the promotion of the Jerusalem School of Synoptic Research, a group headed by Hebrew scholar David Biven that is conducting research into the Hebrew background of the texts of the synoptic gospels. This group of Christian and Jewish researchers is attempting to reconstruct a model to approximate the original Hebrew versions of the gospels. Among the prominent scholars involved in this effort are Dr. Robert Lindsey, Professor David Flusser, and Professor Shmuel Safrai of Hebrew University.
