Bridges for Peace
is a Jerusalem-based, multifaceted Christian organization dedicated to building sincere relationships between the Christian and Jewish communities, while encouraging greater Christian concern and support for the land and people of Israel. Through programs both in Israel and around the world, Bridges for Peace gives Christians opportunities for active expression of their biblical responsibility to be faithful to Israel and the Jewish community. One prime example is its Operation Ezra program, which includes the only food bank in the nation of Israel and provides social services to Jewish immigrants.President Clarence H. Wagner’s integrity and commitment to Israel are applauded in both the Jewish and Christian communities. He leads a staff of dedicated believers (many of them volunteers) who stand solidly behind Israel and the prophetic work that God is doing in regathering the Jewish people from around the world to make aliyah to the land of their ancestors.
Bridges for Peace is committed to these goals:
*Interpreting Israel to Christians in the light of the Bible and today's events.
*Providing counsel and channels of service for pro-Israel groups and individuals who desire to actively support and bless Israel and the Jewish people.
*Working to combat anti-Semitism and all forms of prejudice and misunderstanding between Christians and Jews.
*Bringing Christian concerns to the attention of appropriate Israeli leaders and to the Jewish community at large.
*Developing and providing a variety of study materials and aids to churches, schools, tour groups to prepare Christians for an in-depth understanding of Israel and the Jewish roots of our Christian faith.
Programs include the following:
Dispatch from Jerusalem: A bimonthly publication with pertinent and positive news from Israel and informative insights into the hopes and aspirations of the Israel people, all in a prophetic context.
Israel Teaching Letter: Monthly in-depth studies bringing to light the fuller meanings of biblical concepts from the Hebraic roots of the Scriptures.
Jerusalem Mosaic: A weekly television series, shot on location in Israel, which brings the Land of the Bible and her people direct from Israel.
Operation Ezra: A program of social assistance providing practical help to a variety of worthy projects in Israel, including assistance to Jewish immigrants in Israel from around the world and Israel's poor.
Israel Food Bank: The only food bank in Israel provides assistance to local institutions helping Israel's needy (both Jews and Arabs).
Chai (Life) Nights Prayer and Study Groups: Monthly intercessory prayer program sponsored by individuals and churches around the world to "pray for the peace of Jerusalem."
Galilee Study Center: Overlooking the Sea of Galilee, this center offers a directed study program, spacious accommodations, and a 2,000 book library.
Restoration Foundation heartily endorses Bridges for Peace and its international ministry of love and support for Israel and the international Jewish community, constructive Jewish/Christian dialogue, and the restoration of Christianity's Jewish roots.
